Namako House

Namako House is designed as a proposal for the Ooshima community centre competition. The project is located at a port on the Ooshima Island in Japan. 80% of the residants are elderlies. Therefore, the design of the community center not only need to target older generations also need to serve as a terminal waiting area. The form is inspired by the local seafood The community center provides small restaurants and product, the sea cucumbers. During summer seasons, the port allows for exterior farmers’ markets and seasonal festivals.
